In class we watched different videos about how people work and cooperate to have an Inclusive Education at schools. After watching those videos and reading some information about the topic, the whole group had to prepare a conceptual map including on it what we think are the important aspect in this topic and develop the main ideas.
We decided to focus our conceptual map in 5 different ideas that can help everyone to understand the main idea of what Inclusive Education is. This topic is based on having equal opportunities for everyone without exceptions. This can be carried out with inclusive didactics in order to students can be prepared to collaborate and work with any student that could be different from him or her. The internal organization of this type of education is quite different from other, for example we think that this education is carried out when teachers and students trust in each other, when students have their own responsibilities and when they attend to meetings and take part in decisions. Inclusive Education has a special interrelation with society and it keeps at date with the 21st century world.
After preparing all the conceptual maps each group, we had to compare and contrast with another group both maps. Our group had to work with Educational League group and we found that the main ideas were so similar in both conceptual maps but distributed in different ways. They were different in that Educational League´s map is more visual with draws and lot of colours. With this characteristics it is easier for people without any knowledge about the topic to understand.
They divided Inclusive Education in 4 categories: school, teachers, students and parents. Each category has different roles but they are also connected between each other. One aspect that I have to mention in a very good way is that Educational League has written a sentence to summarize the content of this topic: “School doesn´t differ from life”.
I really like this conceptual map,
Good Job for them! :)
