Act. 2 - Comparing Conceptual Maps (Angélica)

Education League's Conceptual Map

In the last class, we had to compare our conceptual map with the one that the Education League did, in order to find any differences or to learn about new points of view that we wouldn't have interpreted before. Irene was very kind and explained us their conceptual map in a very clear way. In general terms, I feel like they had a different approach when it comes to inclusive education and the way in which they connected every item/factor was quite different from ours.

However, even though their map is more artistic, they captured very well the four main factors which were: parents, teachers, students and school. Inside these four items a few things called my attention, such as the fact that classrooms are a simulation of the real life (including teachers), how the free curriculum (understood as a flexible curriculum) should be adapted in order to remove any kind of barrier or what should include for it to be inclusive. Another facts that I wrote down because they seemed important to me were how they determinated that an inclusive education must be directly connected with being tolerant and that being tolerant can contribute to your own personal enrichment, as well as how parents must rely and cooperate with teachers in order to use the same learning techniques at their very own homes.

To sum up, I honestly think that more or less we expressed similar ideas but under different perspectives. I really enjoyed sharing and taking a look at the rest of the group's mind maps since all of them had at least one thing that was slightly different explained or expressed from our mind map.
