Act. 1 - Reflections about other groups (Isa)

TRAVELCHERS REVIEW

First of all, I would like to stand the presentation out. Travelchers´ presentation has been the first of this topic (Cooperative Learning) and also of this new subject of the second four-month period at University. Like everybody, all of us have some mistakes and if we have them, we will be able to improve what we have done.

After watching the explanation I can say that every people of the group have enough knowledge of the topic that it was required for being able to explain any point of the topic, anybody and in any moment when the teacher said it. 

They knew from the beginning until the end to hook everybody to their explanation with a short video of the “Lion King” musical. The use of this video, at least in my case, did that I put more attention and interest in what they were explaining about the topic.

I would change a little the organization of the activity. It was confused and not everybody understood the rules. First we had to observe the photo of the figure and then try to construct it. Some of us were doing the figure while they were watching the image. And obviously not everybody could construct the figure. I wasn´t able to put the pieces in the correct place and anybody of the group came and helped me. 

I think it would be a good idea if some person of the group, when the time was off, do the figure at the same time with de rest of the class.

EDUCATIONAL LEAGUE REVIEW

The presentation of this group has been very creative, innovative and catchy. This last point is the most important point because with the costumes they have attracted all my attention. Another thing I have to mention is the staging, that was well prepared and with all the images that they have used it is a very good mix in order to make dynamic and interesting the presentation of the topic.

If I talk about the content of the presentation, I will say that they all knew everything about the topic and they could answer all the confusions and question we had. However, even though all the members of the group had spoken, one of them seems like that person was the leader. One point to keep working on is to have the same weight each member of the group.

OTHERSIDERS REVIEW

In my opinion this group has done a very good job. Each member had their own responsibilities but they hadn´t the same weigh. For that reason they had to help other members to make up for doing the same effort everyone. Talking about the responsibilities and objetives I have to mention that Nacho was able to achieve his own objetive. I found him not too comfortable talking in front of the class but he hadn´t any problem with the topic and he could explain it very good.

In the presentation they have used a video in order to show us with images what is the Cooperative Learning. After watching it, and having a preview idea of the topic, I can say that I could associate what I have in my mind with the video and it was clearer than before the presentation of the group. 

One thing I have found so interesting was the fact that they focus the Cooperative Learning like if it is a continual assessment. They said that the things what they have to improve will be the next objetives in next projects. 

The explanation was very deep so I think they should keeping doing it like this time but improving and taking off the repetitions. They have repeated some things in the explanation but a good point is that they have added new things that any group have included. 

FERNWEH REVIEW

I want to start the review mentioning that the activity with the blanket was so great to visualise what is the Cooperative Learning. With this idea we can get the meaning easier and in a funny and entertaining way.  This was a perfect way of starting the presentation because you have a clear meaning of Cooperative Learning and while they keep on explain the topic you are completing the whole meaning of it.

The presentation was dynamic and concrete. They used slides with enough information to understand everything but sometimes I found too much sentences. They have a point because they have innovated adding at the presentation a logo of the team. 

I suggest they need to meet outside the class to be more confident with the topic and also between each other. I know it is very difficult but if they don´t spend enough time to practice, other groups will realize in the presentation of that lack.
